The betrothed have planned a traditional Christian wedding: join them during the religious mass that will officialize the marriage in the afternoon, and dress to the nines to enjoy refreshments and a plated luncheon on the seaside in the evening.

CEREMONY
Join the couple at the Church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli.
Also known as “the marble church”, this tiny chapel has been conceived as a delicate jewel set between the canal and the streets, in the tranquillity of a secret campiello shielded from the crowd of tourists.
The ceremony will start at 4 p.m. on September 28th, 2024.

Marti and Pie share a common profound passion for movies. Pie has learnt by heart some of the most random lines in cinema history and Marti thinks it unforgivable that he would willingly choose not to watch masterpieces such as “Finding Nemo” or “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
Accordingly, with its historical role of house of Hollywood A-listers during the Venice Film Festival, the Excelsior Hotel seemed the perfect location for the couple to celebrate with their families and friends.
The wedding reception will start at 6.30 p.m. and end at 1 a.m.

TRANSPORTATIONS
Reaching Venice
Via plane: direct flights are available to Venice Marco Polo airport from many major airports in Europe, whilst a layover in Rome or other Northern European airports will be needed from farther departure locations.
From Venice Marco Polo airport, a boat service is available to reach the main island (locals call it “Il Pesce”, “The Fish”): guests will need to look for “linea arancione” (“orange line”), and hop off the boat at the stop “RIALTO”. That’s right: you land and you get on a boat – no cars in between!
Via train: guests arriving from Milan and Rome can easily reach the station of Venezia Santa Lucia via train (Frecciarossa is preferable). The suggested options for accommodation are all at walking distance from the train station.
Via car: guests arriving via car can park at Tronchetto Parking and then board on the ferry Line 2 to reach the city (your final stop will be depend on your accommodation).
When in Venice
Venice is a completely car-less city.
This means mobility around the city is limited to two options: walking or hopping on a boat!
In the afternoon, guests will need to reach the Church autonomously: all suggested accommodations are at walking distance from the Church to ease the commute. In case you wanted to experience the thrill of a Venetian ferry, 24h/48h/72h tickets are available for purchase here (reach out to the bride for help +39 347 8875732). However, we suggest that you save that thrill for what comes next…
In the evening, your transportation from the Church to the Excelsior Hotel, and from the venue back to the your hotel, has been arranged by private boat. Just reach the boarding point, relax and enjoy Venice with us!

OUTFIT
Formal or Black Tie Optional
Guests are encouraged to wear attire that fits a black tie dress code. However, this is optional.
Men: dark suit with a shirt and tie if they don’t wish to wear a tuxedo.
Women: floor-length gown, knee-length cocktail dress, pantsuit or dressy separates.
Colour palette: Guests can pick the colour they wish, but if they wish to align with the colour palette of the event neutral colours and shades of green are preferred.
Watchout: white, red, purple, total black are typically not worn at western weddings.
